Perhaps, like a wild animal the WTS feels cornered and threatened. Under such circumstances they are panicking rather than being their normal "cool selves. Ted may be starting to sweat.

the jehovah's witnesses are christians who believe the teachings of the bible, using their own translation.
As I recall, Lee Elder conservatively estimates that 600 + die world wide from the WTS blood policy each year. I believe that Dr Muramotos estimates are a little higher. Both sets of estimates are based on all deaths, I think.
Further, I believe that the official view of AJWRB is that, at least in Western countries, the legal systems frequently come to the rescue of children.
Therefore, I suspect that these figures are incorrect; rather, they probably refer mostly to adult deaths.

kent and his merry followers seem to have made privacy their latest crusade and unfortunately they have decided to act in a completely irresponsible manner imho.. the forum software uses cookies to remember a users login details and can also be useful for identifying duplicate accounts.
it is not used for anything sinister and cannot be used to identify someone - all it gives is an indication that a computer is being used by more than one username and has been invaluable in identifying trouble makers like mario kempes / yo yo mama / sexy teen / help others (asking for money) and many others.
i believe that this is a good thing to do as i do not believe it compromises anyones privacy and does help prevent everyone wasting their time responding to people who are just "yanking our chain".. apart from the accounts that you have seen and know there are many more that you may not be aware of.

well i had a surprise yesterday.
i received a phone call from an old witness friends daughter.i used to watch her a lot and she was almost like one of my own.
her mom had emotional problems and wasn't too fond of kids.
My instincts are to first be a Mom to her. If she has Lupus she is going to gradually become weaker, more ill and deformed, though hopefully, this will take many years. The JWs will seldom "be there" for her if history provides any indication.
At some point, hopefully sooner rather than later, she will really need a friend and she will talk and possibly vent her frustrations about the lack of help and love from the JWs. You will know when the time is right to start dropping a few seeds about why you are no longer a JW and why you will never go back.

in response to amac's question i have provided some details below.
I wish their testimony, especially that of Drs. Muramoto and Penton, had been taken. It would seem to me that it would be helpful to have this record to refer to during the deliberations of the Canadian Supreme Court on this very issue.

monday morning my 14 y/o son was having severe abdominal pain in the lower right abdomen...diagnosis....appendicitis.
needless to say an emergency appendectomy was performed.
all went very well as they did the procedure laparoscopicly and therefore he went home in 24 hours and is recovering nicely.. my question/thought to others is this: i was df'd 2 years ago.

this is a bit off topic, but i hope someone might give me a little insight on a delicate matter here.. my significant other has applied for life insurance, and of course must have the obligatory "home visit" where they take his blood pressure, blood sample, pee sample, etc.. we are barely making ends meet as it is, and are trying to sign him up a a non-smoker.
(he's gonna quit, anytime now.
i swear.
To cease smoking is to "buy" with dividends ($$$ saved from not purchasing tobacco) "assurance," in statistical terms, of his longer life.

I have to agree with LL "... Theresa Graves from Laugh0in and Get Christy Love."
Theresa was a big name JW in the 60s in the USA. She made a big hit with Brooklyn when she gave up her "worldly career" to become a full time preacher for the JWs. What a shame; she was beautiful, talented and had a bright future in front of her. She threw it all away to pioneer. Ugh!
